News

Wolverton is vibrant and constantly evolving. Below are some of the major news stories effecting your town.

WOLVERTON OPEN FOR BUSINESS!

The Coronavirus Pandemic had a huge impact on the Wolverton business community, but as with many Town centre's across the country new ways of working have been developed, and things are slowly returning to the "new normal".

Many people have discovered or rediscovered our local shops during the Covid 19 crisis, and we very much hope that this renewed commitment to shopping locally will be a habit that sticks!

We are encouraging local people to make a particular effort to support all our local businesses in the run up to Christmas, and will be doing our bit by getting involved in Small Business Saturday on 5th December!

Redevelopment of the Agora

Wolverton Town centre is set to undergo a transformation over the next few years with the long-held community aspiration for the redevelopment of the Agora Centre finally due to take place.

The Future Wolverton website https://futurewolverton.org/agoradevelopment/ contains a lot of information about the history of the community-led campaign to redevelop the site, and the latest news can be found on the website of the developer Love Wolverton Limited https://lovewolverton.co.uk/
