The Square Newsagent
“Our style is that of a very traditional newsagent – come in to have a browse, shop and chat.“
We came to the UK from Zimbabwe in 2002 so that our children could have a better education; I am proud to say that they have done very well and are now studying at University.
The newsagent was up for sale, so we came to have a look and really liked the area of Wolverton, compared to other towns we had visited, it was very warm and friendly. So in July 2002, we took over from the newsagents at the time called Square Newsagents, choosing to keep the name, although a lot of people still refer to us as Davies as it was once known for many years.
Our style is that of a very traditional newsagent. We stock haberdashery, traditional bottled sweets which are weighed out on vintage scales, children’s sweets and pocket money toys, a good range of grown up chocolate too, all types of greeting cards, newspapers and a big variety of magazines. We have added some modern extras in convenience items such as tea bags, sugar and lottery tickets.
Our store is open every day from 6am and it’s good fun having friends, customers new and old, come in to have a browse, shop and chat.
