This is Shop Wolverton

Wolverton is a small Victorian Railway Town in North East Milton Keynes. The town became part of Milton Keynes when the New Town was established in 1969, but retains its own unique character, sense of identity and distinct sense of community.

We are lucky to have a diverse range of independent businesses serving the local community, many of whom have been in the Town centre for decades.

Shop Wolverton showcases these fantastic businesses, but is no ordinary listing directory.

It tells the stories of the people behind each business, and gives a glimpse of the range of products and fantastic food they produce through a photo gallery.

The Coronavirus Pandemic had a huge impact on the Wolverton business community, but as with many Town centre's across the country new ways of working have been developed, and things are slowly returning to the "new normal".

Many people have discovered or rediscovered our local shops during the Covid 19 crisis, and we very much hope that this renewed commitment to shopping locally will be a habit that sticks!

We are encouraging local people to make a particular effort to support all our local businesses in the run up to Christmas, and will be doing our bit by getting involved in Small Business Saturday on 5th December!

The Town centre is made up of three distinct areas, each of which has its own character:

  • The (Market) Square
  • Church Street
  • Stratford Road
  • Glyn Square

There are regular bus services from Central Milton Keynes and other parts of the new Town to Wolverton.

Wolverton is approx. 1 hour from London and 5 minutes from Milton Keynes Central. The Town centre is a 10 minute walk from Wolverton Railway Station.

Wolverton is in the North East of Milton Keynes with links from the A5 and grid road network, around a 15 minute drive from Central Milton Keynes.

Wolverton is lucky enough to be served by the Milton Keynes Redway Network with redways leading into the Town from other parts of Milton Keynes.
